This past year was the hardest year of my life.
There were moments when everything felt like it was coming apart at once. Family estrangement. Financial pressure. Plans for our move to Mexico falling apart no matter how carefully we tried to rebuild them. The future felt uncertain in every direction.
What kept me grounded was coming back to something I know deeply, both personally and professionally.
We are energetic beings in a practical sense.
How we think, how we feel, and the environments we live in are constantly affecting our energy and nervous system.
When life feels unstable, tending to your energy is not a luxury. It is foundational.
The five practices below are the high vibration practices that carried me through that year. These are not ideas I teach from a distance. These are tools I lived inside of.
5 High Vibration Practices to help you Balance Out
Belief Work and the Subconscious Mind
Our thoughts do not just pass through and disappear. Repeated thoughts get stored in the subconscious mind, and over time they become beliefs. Those beliefs quietly shape how we feel, respond, and move through life.
During this year, I paid close attention to my inner dialogue. Not in a forced or overly positive way, but in a steady and intentional way.
I used meditation and quiet states to speak directly to my subconscious. When fear showed up around money or the future, I reminded myself of what I knew to be true.
This is an abundant universe.
I am supported, even when things feel uncertain.
Resources and solutions are still moving toward me.
Those reminders did not erase stress, but they softened it. My nervous system felt safer, and that changed how I handled everything else.
Daily Meditation to Steady the Nervous System
Meditation became my anchor.
From a physical and neurological standpoint, meditation is one of the fastest ways to calm the nervous system. Even a few minutes a day can help shift the brain out of high-stress states and into calmer rhythms.
When that happens, stress hormones decrease. Emotional reactivity settles. Thinking becomes clearer.
On the days I meditated, I coped better. I felt more grounded inside myself, even when the outside world felt unpredictable.
Meditation does not need to be complicated. It is simply a place where your system can rest and reset.
Having a Meaning Framework to Lean On
When life feels chaotic, the mind looks for context.
A belief framework gives the nervous system something to orient around. For some people that is astrology. For others it is viewing life as a series of lessons or trusting in timing and cycles.
The specific belief is less important than the effect it has on your system.
For me, remembering that there was a bigger picture helped pull me out of panic. It helped me move from resistance into acceptance, which immediately lowered stress and stabilized my energy.
Using Scent as an Energetic Cue
Scent is one of the fastest ways to shift your state because it connects directly to the part of the brain that handles memory and emotion.
Certain scents send clear signals to the nervous system.
Lavender supports calm and rest.
Citrus scents like lemon or orange lift mood and energy.
Peppermint sharpens focus and alertness.
Simple rituals made a difference for me. Diffusing oils, boiling cinnamon on the stove, soaking in a warm bath with vanilla or lavender, or wearing a grounding scent like patchouli when I needed to feel centered.
These small sensory cues helped my body settle when my mind felt overwhelmed.
Visualization as Energetic Alignment
What we focus on shapes how we feel and what we notice.
Visualization helped me stay aligned with the life I was moving toward, even when my current reality looked nothing like it yet.
Each day, I spent time imagining the future I was calling in. I pictured it with as much sensory detail as possible. Walking barefoot on warm sand. Smelling ocean air. Hearing Spanish spoken all around me. Feeling gratitude as if I were already living that life.
Visualization lifted my energy, but it also trained my brain to notice opportunities, ideas, and next steps that aligned with what I wanted.
These high vibration practices are not abstract ideas. They are what helped me stay steady, grounded, and resourced during one of the most difficult years of my life.
